CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFYING TEAMS

Diablo FC, SC Sporting, De Anza Force, Ballistic United and Atletico Santa Rosa



Diablo FC clinched the NPL 1 Fall title on Saturday at the NorCal NPL Fall Showcase with a 2-1 win over SJ Earthquakes PDA. With Diablo FC clinching the title early in the weekend, the remaining teams attention turned to securing a Champions League spot, with six teams fighting for the last four spots. On Saturday, Sporting picked up a 4-1 win over EBU Bay Oaks to move into third place as De Anza was held to a 1-1 draw against Odyssey South. Ballistic clinched the second Champions League spot on Saturday after picking up a 2-2 draw with Marin FC. Heading into the final day, three spots remained and Sporting were next to qualify with a 1-0 win over Marin FC which saw them also finish second in league. De Anza were the fourth team to qualify by beating Ballistic 4-1 and the win also moved De Anza ahead of Ballistic into third place. The final Champions League spot was won by Atletico Santa Rosa who beat SJ Earthquakes 4-3, and since EBU was beaten by Odyssey South, Atletico moved into fifth place.






U17 Boys NPL 2 - Fall



CHAMPIONS

Impact SC


The NPL 2 division came down to a winner-take-all final day match-up on Sunday afternoon at the NorCal NPL Fall Showcase. Impact and Palo Alto picked up wins (both 2-1) over Cal Odyssey and Mustang Villa, respectively. Heading into the final day match-up, Impact held a narrow one point advantage over second place Palo Alto meaning a tie would clinch the league title. Impact didn't leave anything to chance and picked up the 2-0 win to take home the division title.






U17 Boys NPL 1 - Winter



This weekend at the NorCal NPL Fall Showcase, Placer United and Davis Legacy got off to fast starts in the opening weekend of play in the NPL 1 Winter. Placer United finished the weekend with wins over Monarcas (4-3) and Stockton Storm (3-1). Davis picked up victories over Stockton Storm (3-1) and Milan FC (1-0). San Juan finished the weekend in third place after a draw against Milan FC (3-3) and win over FC Elk Grove (6-1). Defending NorCal NPL Champions Sacramento United beat Monarcas 4-0 in their only league match of the weekend.
